  • Grant Berman, Community Manager 

    Grant is a new member to the Blacksburg community, transferring from the EdR property in Miami. He is a huge sports fan and loves the outdoors. "My wife and I are very excited to be in Blacksburg and we love the small college town community."


  • Alexandra Mitchener, Leasing and Marketing Manager  

    Alex is a recent graduate in Property Management at Virginia Tech. She plans to take her knowledge from the classroom, and use it to help everyone have the best experience they can here at The Retreat. Alex loves reading books, hiking, enjoying lattes at Mill Mountain and all things “H-O-K-I-E-S, HOKIES!”


  • Stephanie LoVullo, Leasing Professional

    Stephanie is from Woodbridge, VA and is currently studying Hospitality & Tourism Management at Virginia Tech. Her hobbies include eating, spending hours on Pinterest and playing with her pup, Janie! She is excited to get to know all of the awesome residents and be a part of the Retreat family! Go Hokies!”


  • Brett Sain, Resident Services Manager

    Brett is a recent graduate from Virginia Tech and earned a double major in Property Management and Real Estate. Brett is from Virginia Beach and loves sports, animals and the outdoors. "I am excited to start my career at The Retreat and meet all of the amazing residents! LET'S GO!"


  • Steven Flores, Maintenance Manager  

    Steven recently moved to the Blacksburg from South Florida and is originally from Costa Rica (Pura Vida!!!). He loves sports, especially soccer and any outdoor activities. He will be glad to help you with anything related to the maintenance of your cottage. "Welcome to THE BEST cottages in Blacksburg, The Retreat!" 


  • Anthony Nicastro, Maintenance Technician 

    Anthony recently moved to Blacksburg from California and his wife attends medical school at VCOM. He loves all things outdoors and wrenching on classic cars. 


  • Christine Kim, Community Assistant

    Christine is a sophomore from Fairfax, VA studying Property Management and Real Estate at Virginia Tech. She is on the Club Tennis team, Students Helping Honduras and Relay for Life. "I love dogs, the color maroon and eating food (24/7). GO HOKIES!"


  • Brian Olson, Community Assistant

    Brian is a sophomore at Virginia Tech, majoring in Physics. His hobbies include running, golfing, and hammocking all over campus. He is a huge Hokie sports fan, and is always looking forward to football season. "Go Hokies!"


  • Lauren Stratton, Community Assistant

    Lauren is a sophomore at Virginia Tech studying Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise. She is an active member of Campus Crusade for Christ and Chi Delta Alpha Service Sorority. Lauren enjoys tennis, volleyball, hiking and the beach. She can always be found at any Hokie sporting event. "GO HOKIES!"


  • Michelle Yeboah, Community Assistant

    Michelle is a sophomore from Springfield, VA. She is double majoring in Biochemistry and Human Nutrition, Food, and Exercise at Virginia Tech. She loves to cook, plan events, research and play with dogs. “I absolutely love kids and hope to become a Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist. I love the welcoming community on campus and love the colors maroon and orange! I love being a HOKIE!!"


  • Troy Welsh, Community Assistant

    Troy is a Junior at Virginia Tech who transferred from Community College in fall of 2016. He is studying Multimedia Journalism with the hopes of working in production and directing of television. He enjoy the outdoors, working on his Jeep, walking his dog, listening to music and meeting new people. Let’s Go Hokies!
